We were wandering around the ASUS booth here at Computex 2012 and noticed the folks from Engadget doing the same thing. We were curious about what they had to say about these latest ASUS offerings so we headed on over to their site for a gander.

The mystical ASUS TAI CHI - Computex 2012

ASUS G75VW and RT AC66U
The team was looking to get more intimate with the G75VW gaming notebook – the world’s first notebook equipped with Broadcom’s 802.11ac Wi-Fi for wireless throughput speeds of up to 900Mbps. “We look forward to putting the new spec through its paces in a slightly less saturated setting.”

ASUS TAICHI
They got their hands on the TAICHI convertible ultrabook for a few minutes and seemed to be impressed with what they saw. “While the device we saw was clearly an early prototype, it functioned as described and looked quite polished, so this certainly isn’t merely a concept at this point. The touch panels were very responsive, and quite bright, even at their lowest setting.”

ASUS 600 and 810 Windows 8 Tablets
They found the ASUS 600 and 810 tablets are almost identical to the Transformer pads. I think it pretty much speaks for itself when they say, “How many times have we posted a review of an ASUS Transformer tablet only to read comments that say, “Put Win8 on it and I’ll buy it.” Well, folks, it’s time to put your money where your mouth is”

ZENBOOK Prime
The ZENBOOK Prime with its upgraded touchscreen capabilities seem to have gotten their pulses racing: “Since the ZENBOOK Primes are already endowed with some of the best displays on the market: IPS quality with 1080p resolution. Touch just makes it better”.

Seems they liked what they saw. But don’t just take their word for it, check out the reviews by our very own Suds McSoapdish and Postal.
