ASUS kicked off Computex 2012 early by bagging six Best Choice Awards. The Transformer Pad Infinity, the ASUS PadFone, the ASUS Netttop EB1033e,  the ASUS P1 Portable LED Projector, the ASUS O!Play Smart TV Set Top Box, and the ASUS EA-N66 3-in-1 Dual-band Ethernet Adapter all took home awards in their various categories.

Here’s a quick rundown of the winners:

Golden Award, Computer & System: ASUS Transformer Pad Infinity Series

 The Transformer Pad Infinity is the new 4G LTE model based on the powerful Qualcomm® MSM 8960 Snapdragon™ S4 Krait dual-core processor.  It boasts a brilliant Super IPS+ display with 1900 x 1200 resolution, ASUS SonicMaster technology, and ultra-tough Corning® Gorilla® Glass 2. To top it all off, the Transformer Pad Infinity is equipped with an 8MP rear camera featuring a large f2.2 aperture, 5-element lens and LED flash to ensure a perfect quality images even when in the dark.

Golden Award, Smart Handheld Devices Innovation: ASUS PadFone™

The ASUS PadFone is an Android 4.0 smartphone with a 4.3″ crystal clear Super AMOLED qHD display and dual-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ S4 processor. It docks to the ASUS PadFone Station to become a 10.1” Android ICS tablet with up to 63 hours of talk-time.

The unique DynamicDisplay technology allows for a seamless switch between smartphone and tablet display modes. The PadFone Station also comes with its own keyboard dock – the PadFone Station Dock – to meet the needs of more demanding users.

Green ICT Award: ASUS Nettop EB1033e

The new EB1033 Nettop PC is designed to have a recyclability rate of at least 90% and uses only 1/25 of the materials compared to a regular desktop PC. This little PC has a power consumption figure that is 68.5% lower than the ENERGY STAR® v5.2 standard, making it one of the most eco-friendly and energy-efficient computers available.

Despite its compact 1-liter size, the EB1033 comes with a discrete graphics card that supports Full HD 1080p playback and dual-display output.

Display & Digital Entertainment Award: ASUS P1 Portable LED Projector

Weighing at just 415g, this little projector delivers crystal-clear presentations by projecting HD 1280 x 800 images, so whatever is seen on screen matches the original content that is viewed on the users’ notebook or PC. The mercury-free Eco LED light has a lifespan of up to 30,00 hours; while the Auto Keystone Correction function detects the P1’s orientation and automatically corrects distorted trapezoid images.

Display & Digital Entertainment Award: ASUS O!Play Smart TV Set Top Box

 

The O!Play TV Pro supports well over 50 video formats, including 3D playback. Its intuitive O!Easy technology gives quick one-click access to file streaming, sharing, replay and a host of online services. With the added support of standard 3.5-inch hard drives, users can record digital broadcasts using the Personal Video Recorder (PVR) function. The built-in DVB-T digital tuner give users  access to free-to-air high quality digital TV programming while the Electronic Program Guide (EPG) offers location-sensitive scheduling for up to a week in advance.

Communication Award: ASUS 3-in-1 Dual-band N450 Ethernet Adapter

The ASUS EA-N66 3-in-1 dual band wireless Gigabit Ethernet adapter is equipped with a unique 3×3 patented antenna designed for high-speed wireless Internet access. With selectable dual-band 2.4GHz and 5GHz operating modes and speeds of up to 450Mbps per band, the EA-N66 caters to web browsing, smooth HD video streaming, and lag-free online gaming.

Its custom patented antenna architecture helps the EA-N66 minimize wireless interference and provide the fastest wireless network speeds currently available. The EA-N66 also works in Ethernet adapter, repeater, and access point modes, all activated easily through an intuitive user interface.
